Dr Oz’s show on Ovarian Cancer, the Silent Killer of women, included tips on how to prevent Ovarian Cancer with a special Anti-Ovarian Cancer Meal.  Doctor Oz was joined by Dr William Li, who demonstrated how to make this delicious cancer fighting recipe.  Everything in the recipe helps to fight off cancer, especially the sea bass, endive, red onion, garlic, lemon, tomato, capers and turmeric!

Dr Oz: Sea Bass Recipe

Ingredients:

1 (6 oz) Branzino sea bass filet, skin removed

1 cup red onion diced

1 medium sized belgium endive

2 garlic cloves minced

10 pitted kalamata olives chopped

1/2 cup plum tomato chopped

1 tsp capers

1 large lemon

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

6 tbsp olive oil

Kosher salt

Black pepper in mill

Dr Oz: Anti-Ovarian Cancer Recipe

Directions:

1.  Steam the sea bass by placing the fish in a steamer over a pot of boiling water.

2.  Coat the sea bass with 1 tsp of olive oil and a tiny bit of salt as it steams.

3.  After 5-7 minutes, the sea bass should be cooked all the way through, but test it to be sure!

4.  Meanwhile, make the sea bass sauce by sauteing the onions, garlic, tomatoes, capers, onion and turmeric in a pan with olive oil.  Cook it for 3-4 minutes over medium heat or until the onions are translucent and the garlic is golden in color.

5.  Add some lemon juice, salt and pepper to the sea bass sauce, depending on your taste preferences.

6.  To make the Endive Salad, cut the endive into thin strips by cutting on the diagonal.

7.  Toss the endive with some lemon juice, 1 TB of olive oil and salt to taste.

8.  Serve by placing the sea bass on a plate, top it with the Mediterranean Sauce and then place a handful of the Endive Salad on top.
