Doctor Oz and David Held gave a few delicious, heart healthy, diet recipes such as Whole Wheat Matzo Ball & Chicken Soup Recipe and Salmon in Aluminum Foil Recipe… however, the most creative, original, and exciting recipe to  me is David Held’s recipe for Tilapia Unstuffed with Imitation Crab Meat… how great does that sound?  Plus, tilapia is full of omega fats to keep our heart’s healthy.  I am definitely going to try this recipe and incorporate it into my diet plan!

Dr. Oz & David Held’s Tilapia Unstuffed Recipe With Imitation Crab Meat

Ingredients: 

– 5 to 6 tilapia fillets 

– 1 lemon 

– 1 package imitation crab meat 

– 1/4 cup whole wheat bread crumbs 

– 1/4 cup egg substitute 

– 5 cloves garlic, chopped 

– 1 small onion, chopped 

– fat free vegetable oil spray 

– 3 TB Italian seasoning 

– 1/2 tsp grated cheese 

Directions: 

1.  Spray your non stick vegetable oil spray on your baking sheet. 

2.  Season both sides of your tilapia and place them on the baking sheet. 

3.  Mix together the imitation crab, whole wheat bread crumbs, garlic, onion, egg substitute, Italian seasoning and grated cheese. 

4.  Add a mound of the mixture on top of each tilapia filet. 

5.  Spray the top of each tilapia filet with the non-stick vegetable spray. 

6.  Bake for 30-45 minutes at 350 degrees. 

7.  Serve with lemon and steamed vegetables on the side!
