Dr Oz Wheat Germ & Flaxseed Chicken Nuggets Recipe
Ingredients:
6 breasts of chicken tenderloins
1 carton of egg beaters
1/2 cup of ground flaxseed
1/2 cup of wheat germ
1 tsp of Cajun seasoning
1 can of non-stick cooking spray
1/2 cup of ground almond meal (optional)
Dry seasonings (garlic, onion powder, chili powder, paprika) to taste
Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Spray non-stick cooking spray on your cookie sheet.
3. Combine half of your egg beater carton with the Cajun seasoning.
4. Mix the wheat germ, ground flax seed and/or almond meal in a big ziploc bag.
5. Rinse the chicken with water and vinegar and dry it very well, otherwise you will end up with soggy chicken nuggets!
6. Dip each piece of chicken into the egg mixture and then shake it in the mixture in the ziploc bag.
7. Place the pieces of chicken onto your cookie sheet and do not let them touch each other.
8. Spray the top of each chicken piece with a touch of cooking spray, because this will help it to get really crispy.
9. Bake for 30-45 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and it looks crispy.
