Dr Oz: BBQ Rib Sauce Recipe

1tbsp olive oil

1 cup chopped onions

1 clove garlic, finely chopped

3 cups tomato sauce

2/3 cup agave syrup

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1tbsp soy sauce

Freshly ground pepper

Salt to taste

4 chicken breasts, skinless and boneless

2 pounds beef flanken ribs

Dr Oz: BBQ Recipe

1.  Cook the garlic and onions in a large pan over low heat for 7-10 minutes.

2.  Add the agave syrup, vinegar, tomato sauce, soy sauce, pepper and Worcestershire sauce.

3.  Bring the BBQ sauce to a boil, reduce the heat and let it simmer (with a cover on the top) for 15 minutes.

4.  Put 2 cups of sauce on the side.  With the rest of the sauce, cover your chicken and ribs and let it marinate in the fridge for a minimum of 2 hours.

5.  Preheat your oven to 325 degrees.

6.  Place the ribs and chicken on a baking dish and cover them with 1 cup of the bbq sauce that you put on the side.

7.  Bake the meat for 45 minutes without a cover on the top, but baste the meat from time to time.

8.  Remove the chicken once it is cooked through (about 45 minutes) and continue cooking and basting the ribs for an extra 30 minutes or so.

9.  Serve with the extra cup of BBQ Sauce.
