Dr Oz’s Best of The Best Show included a great tip for living longer and for losing weight – you should eat 30 grams of protein within 30 minutes of waking up in the morning. Of course you could get in this protein in the morning through some obvious breakfast foods like eggs (frittatas, omelets, etc.), turkey bacon, or Greek Yogurt… or you could try Doctor Oz’s 30/30 Smoothie Recipe which gets its name from being the perfect solution for getting 30 grams of protein into your system within 30 minutes of getting up.
Dr Oz’s 30/30 Smoothie Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 cup Greek yogurt
1/3 cup almonds
½ cup berries
Dr Oz 30/30 Smoothie Recipe
Directions:
1. Place all of the ingredients into your blender.
2. Blend until everything is perfectly smooth.
3. Since this smoothie recipe contains almonds, I would highly recommend looking into the Blendtec Blender which works wonders on nuts!

I just did some calculations on this, as I thought this would be YUMMY for breakfast . . . and it was 616 calories. Perhaps I did something wrong… but this seems high for one meal.

As soon as I got to this site I looked for the word “study.” It doesn’t show up. Neither does the word “studies.” Why should I trust you when nobody has tested the 30-30 rule properly? Why is there no mention of a control group or a peer-reviewed article?
I’m not a doctor but I’m not going to try a new routine on your say-so, if there’s a good chance it will fail and I’ll end up fat and depressed.
