Dr Oz did a segment called Trick Your Taste Buds to teach us how to eat healthy foods that we generally do not like.  Many people dislike the taste of spinach because it can be bitter.  Doctor Oz said that if you mix spinach with yogurt or sour cream, like you do in a dip, then it can balance out the bitter taste of the spinach.  Here is Dr Oz’s Spinach Dip Recipe:

Dr Oz Spinach Dip Recipe

Ingredients:

1 (10 oz) package frozen chopped organic spinach, thawed and well drained

8 oz soft tofu

1 tbsp olive oil

1/4 cup Greek yogurt

2 tbsp lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon salt

Freshly ground pepper

1 cube no salt added vegetable bullion

Directions:

1.  Put all of the ingredients into a food processor and process until smooth.

2.  Serve the Spinach Dip with either pita chips or vegetables (the healthy choice!).

Even though the above is exactly what Dr Oz said to do, I would add the chopped spinach after processing together the rest of the ingredients.  But that is a matter of preference, and I do tend to love spinach, so perhaps that is why!
