Dr Oz did a segment with Devin Alexander, author of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Fattening!: Over 150 Ridiculously Easy Recipes for the Super Busy,because all of us want healthy diet recipes that are quick (under 10 minutes!) and delicious.  One of Devin Alexander’s recipes from The Doctor Oz Show was a Waffle Sandwich made of whole-grain waffles, peanut butter and bananas instead of a usual Waffle Sandwich stuffed with bacon and eggs.  The end result is a Breakfast Waffle Sandwich with 257 calories instead of 550 calories.  Here are links to all of the recipes Devin Alexander made with Dr Oz: Strawberry Shortcake Recipe For Diets, Bacon Cheeseburger Recipe For Diets, and Waffle Sandwich Recipe.

Dr Oz Waffle Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients:

2 low-fat whole-grain or whole-wheat waffles (140 calories or less per 2-waffle serving)

2 tsp all-natural creamy peanut butter

1/2 small banana, cut into 1/8 in-thick slices

Devin Alexander Waffle Sandwich Recipe

Directions:

1.  Toast both waffles in your toaster or toaster oven.

2.  Spread 1 tsp of peanut butter on one side of both waffles.

3.  Slice the banana up and place the banana slices on top of the waffle.

4.  Place the other waffle on top and your Waffle Sandwich is born!
