Doctor Oz gave one of Matty’s secret recipes for losing weight: cabbage soup.  Dr Oz said that cabbage burns as many calories to digest it as it contains, so cabbage soup or skinny soup is the perfect recipe for diets!  You can use your own creativity and taste to alter this diet recipe to make the cabbage soup taste like whatever you like.

Dr Oz & Matty’s Skinny Soup – Cabbage Soup Recipe

Ingredients:

1 (2 lb., 3 oz.) can of Italian plum tomatoes

4 cans of water (use tomato can, fill with water)

4 chicken bouillon cubes

2 large onions

1 large green pepper

1 large red pepper

1 bag fresh carrots

1 bunch celery

1 med. green cabbage

Sea salt

Pepper

Directions:

1.  Mix together the tomatoes with 4 cans of water.

2.  Add your bouillon cubes.

3.  Chop all of the vegetables, except for the cabbage, and add it to the broth.

4.  Cook for 2 hours.  Add shredded cabbage and cook for another hour.

5.  Add salt and pepper to taste.
