Dr Oz: Energy Ball Recipe- a Delicious Diet Snack!

Doctor Oz gave a recipe for what he calls an Energy Ball.  It sounds a lot like a treat my mother used to make for us, except that of course, Dr Oz’s version is much healthier.  Dr Oz uses all natural peanut butter (like the kind you make in Whole Foods in the peanut grinding machines), agave nectar, crispy oats and dark chocolate chips.  You can use raisins instead of dark chocolate chips, but I much prefer chocolate to raisins!

Dr Oz’s Energy Ball Recipe

Ingredients:

1/2 cup 100% natural peanut butter
1 tbsp honey or agave nectar
11/2 cups crispy oats or flax meal
1/2 cup raisins or 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips

Directions:

1.  Mix all of the ingredients together.

2.  Form bite sized balls out of the mixture.

3.  Pop the balls into the fridge for an hour.

4.  Dr Oz noted that you should only eat 1-2 balls per day, and it is best right before a workout… haha so I guess it isn’t the healthiest snack after all!
