Alejandro Junger’s Clean Green Smoothie Recipe

Alejandro Junger’s Green Smoothie Recipe is packed full of vitamins and is such a great way to start your day.  If you don’t want to make your own almond milk, Alejandro Junger suggests using Blue Diamond unsweetened vanilla almond milk or one without soy in it.  Sometimes I will use Blue Diamond’s almond milk in place of both the almond milk recipe and the coconut water.

Coconut water is the liquid you get by cracking open a coconut.  If you don’t want to bother or can’t find a fresh coconut, you can also buy O.N.E. Coconut Water.  

Alejandro Junger’s book Clean: The Revolutionary Program to Restore the Body’s Natural Ability to Heal Itself gives a great way to jump start your diet and this is one of his fabulous recipes for making a green smoothie, which is perfect for breakfast. 

Alejandro Junger’s Recipe for Green Smoothies

Ingredients:
– 1.5 Cups Almond Milk
– 1/2 Cup O.N.E. Coconut Water (or the clear liquid inside of a fresh coconut)
– 2 leaves Swiss Chard or Lacinato Kale, chopped (Sometimes I will substitute spinach too.)
– 1/4 Avocado
– 1/2 Cup Mango Chunks
– 1/2 Cup Ice 

Directions:
Pop all the ingredients into your blender, blend well and drink right away!
