What I love about these whole wheat & oatmeal peanut butter cookies is that they taste AMAZING and are much healthier than regular peanut butter cookies.

Whole Wheat & Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookie Ingredients:

- 1 cup Rolled Oats
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 cup Margarine, room temperature
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 3/4 cup Whole Wheat Flour
- 3/4 cup Brown Sugar (or Splenda Brown Sugar Mixture)
- 1/4 cup Ground Flax Seeds
- 1/4 cup Wheat Germ
- 1/2 cup Reduced-Fat Peanut Butter (all natural peanut butter is the best!)
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 tsp Salt

Directions:

1.  Mix together the margarine and peanut butter.
2.  Add the vanilla, egg and brown sugar.  Mix.
3.  Mix in a separate bowl the dry ingredients (rolled oats, wheat germ, flax seeds, whole wheat flour and baking soda).
4.  Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
5.  Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet.  You can flatten them with a fork to leave the traditional marks on top of a peanut butter cookie.
6.  Bake the cookies at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
